ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- St. Johns County Fire Rescue responded Sunday around midnight to a trailer fire in the 1900 block of Powell Road.
Fire Rescue was warned ahead of time by the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office that chemicals could have been present inside of the trailer, according to St. Johns County Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Matthew Sara.
When firefighters arrived on scene they found the trailer engulfed in flames. Crews went to work to contain the fire and protect nearby homes.
Only one person was inside the residence when the fire started, and she was able to get out on her own.
Due to SJCSO original suspicion, that this may have been a meth lab, a Hazmat team responded to the fire, said Sara.
No hazardous materials were found after the fire, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation by the SJCFR.
The trailer was a total loss.
