JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Firefighters from Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department Stations 10 and 14 responded to a vehicle
accident at St. Johns Avenue and Roosevelt Boulevard around 6 p.m. Wednesday.
JFRD Spokesman Tom Francis said the accident is
a "mass casualty incident level 1." There were a total of seven patients involved in the accident.
Three patients were taken to
Shands. Two of those were pediatric and one of them has life-threatening
injuries. Two adults in stable condition were taken to Baptist, and two
more adults in stable condition were taken to Orange Park.
Motorists should avoid that area if
possible as traffic will be tied up for a while.
