MIDDLEBURG, Fla. -- The County Road 218 Bridge that collapsed during Tropical Storm Debby reopened to vehicle traffic on Friday afternoon.
Additional construction will continue in the area of Country Estates Road and motorists are asked to exercise caution while driving through the area, according to a release from Captain Bernita Bush with Clay County Emergency Management.
Earlier today, a Duval Asphalt employee working on the bridge said that all that was left to do to was to put in guardrails and paint the road lines.
The bridge washed out during Tropical Storm Debby. It had been closed to road traffic since June 27.
