Jacksonville LGBT anti-discrimination bill backed by Archbishop Desmond Tutu

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Legislation to ban discrimination based on sexual orientation has picked up an endorsement.
    
According to our news partner, The Florida Times Union, Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa is backing the bill.

If passed, the ordinance would ban discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender individuals when it comes to employment and housing.
    
The bill is currently in 2 separate committees and must pass both to go up for a vote.
