Memorial services for retired St. Johns sheriff announced

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- Funeral arrangements for retired Sheriff Neil J. Perry have been announced.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office released the details of Perry's memorial.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 27 from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Craig's Funeral Home located at 1475 Old Dixie Highway.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 28 starting at 10:00 a.m. at Flagler Memorial Presbyterian Church located at 32 Sevilla Street.

The SJSO is expecting a large number of attendees and asks the public to be advised of traffic delays and road closures both nights.

On Wednesday evening, expect delays in the area of U.S. 1 and Old Dixie Highway.

On Thursday beginning at 11:00 a.m., motorists should expect delays on U.S. 1 southbound from the area of King Street to Lewis Point Road.

Additionally, Old Moultrie Road will be closed to traffic between Kings Estate Road and Lewis Point Road from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

There will also be traffic interruptions within the city of St. Augustine. More closures and delays will be released by the St. Augustine Police Department prior to the services.
