PALM COAST, Fla. -- An Apopka man has been arrested by Flagler County Sheriff's Office detectives in connection with a Palm Coast bank robbery.

Kevin Lee Cotterman, 41, has been charged with robbery and grand theft in connection with the May 17 robbery of a bank on Belle Terre Parkway in Palm Coast.

Cotterman is also suspected in connection with bank robberies in Jacksonville, Volusia County and Orange County that occurred in May and June, according to the a news release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

"This man was a one-man crime spree who terrorized people as well as robbed them. I would hope he is off the streets forever," said Flagler County Sheriff Donald W. Fleming.

A tip received by Crime Stoppers in Deland identified Cotterman as the suspect in two Deland bank robberies.

Flagler detectives said they were able to match Cotterman to security photos taken in the Palm Coast robbery. The detectives traveled to Seminole County Thursday to serve the arrest warrant on Cotterman, who confessed to the crime, according to the detectives.
