JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Hundreds of people, perhaps more than 1,000, rallied in Jacksonville Saturday, protesting the death of Trayvon Martin, the teenager killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer last month.

"No justice, no peace," was among the many chants as the crowd walked from The Jacksonville Landing to the parking lot in front of the courthouse.

Many held signs calling for George Zimmerman, the admitted shooter, to be immediately arrested. They insist the proof is there and autorities shouldn't wait for a grand jury.

Speakers at the rally also supported the appointment of our local state attorney, Angela Corey, to lead a new investigation in Sanford. Gov. Rick Scott removed the one there and put Corey in place.

She says she is assigning two top prosecutors and an investigator to the case.

Rally organizers also advertised a massive rally being planned for next Saturday in Sanford, and offered buses to people who wanted to go.
