JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The threat of severe weather causes some delays for One Spark creators trying to get ready for opening day.

It's a race against time now. With heavy rain expected over night Monday and into Tuesday morning, the weather is putting the pressure on for One Spark Creators who started setting up early to be done by Wednesday.

"The rain is definitely kind of stressing us out a little bit, it's definitely making us rush," said Adam Pratt, Pratt Guys, One Spark creator.

Pratt Guys is setting up an entire village of earth-themed outdoor home designs such as kitchens, fire pits, wood decks and more.

"We still have a lot to do. We still have our whole entire village that we're trying to create," said Pratt.

Pratt believes his crew will need another 15 hours on Tuesday and some time on Wednesday to finish up. Other crews at Hemming Plaza are also feeling the crunch.

"Hopefully the weather will move out tomorrow [Tuesday] and we can continue setting up and be ready," said Mark Lefiles, Southern Sound and Lighting.

Lefiles and his crew are almost done building a stage at Hemming Plaza, but are going to have to tarp it and strap it down due to the incoming rain. Installing electronics will have to wait.

"We're going to hold off on all the electronics just because you can't mix electronic and water that doesn't work," said Lefiles.

What would have been a four-hour set up is now stretching out over two days, and Lefiles' crew still has to add sound and lighting to nine other stages around the city.
