JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Silver Airways is adding several daily, non-stop flights between Jacksonville International Airport and Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International Airport.
The new service starts August 19 with up to three flights per day, increasing to possibly six daily flights on November 2.
Silver Airways will also fly non-stop from Jacksonville to Tampa and seasonally to Marsh Harbor.
To celebrate, Silver Airways is offering introductory fares between Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville from $79 (one way, including taxes and fees) through May 29 for non-stop travel between June 9 and November 5.
"We're looking forward to offering our Florida residents and visitors even more travel options within the Sunshine State with the addition of our 16th intra-Florida route between Fort Lauderdale and Jacksonville," said Silver Airways President and CEO Dave Pflieger.
"Business travelers will appreciate our schedule which allows for a full day of work in either city while leisure guests will enjoy flying past the hassles of driving," added Pflieger.
