JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Several eastbound lanes of traffic were blocked Thursday morning following a crash on 103rd Street.

Florida Highway Patrol and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office both responded to the crash that occurred at 7:23 a.m. at the intersection of 103rd Street at La Ventura Drive.

Three cars were involved in the crash, including a white car being driven by a high school student. The teen allegedly pulled out of a nearby McDonald's onto 103rd Street and clipped the side of a lawn care truck, according to FHP on scene. The contact with the truck caused the teen's car to spin into oncoming traffic where it was struck head on by a black car. The driver of the black car was taken to Orange Park Medical Center for a wellness check.

JSO remained on scene to assist with directing traffic while FHP investigated and cleared the crash.
