JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A truck smashed through the front of a Westside store early Thursday morning.
The Dollar General in the 6300 block of 103rd Street has extensive storefront damage following crash that occurred at 4:41 a.m., according to a police report from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The store safe and cigarette case were both in place when police arrived on scene, the report detailed. The incident was captured on surveillance video, but has not been released.
The truck caused an estimated $6,000 in damage to the store, including the broken window, concrete and product damage. A suspect has not been identified and police are still investigating.
Crystal Ghassemi, Public Relations Manager for Dollar General, said the company will be working with the authorities in the investigation.
