JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- On Friday, the Jaguars officially announced that Fulham FC, the English Premier League team owned by Shad Khan, will play at EverBank Field on July 26th.
Fulham will face D.C. United of Major League Soccer in a friendly soccer match. This will be part of the preseason preparations for Fulham, and it will be in the middle of the season for D.C. United.
A start time has not been announced for this match yet, and tickets have yet to go on sale, but it's believed that the new video boards that are currently under construction will be completed in time to be used for this match.
"We're looking forward to staging this match for fans of both types of football and introducing Fulham not only to Jacksonville, but to fans throughout the state and nation," said Shad Khan, owner of Fulham and the Jaguars. "There is great passion in the Jacksonville area for soccer, and this will be a rare opportunity to see our Fulham team play in Jacksonville, and against one of the premier professional franchises in American soccer."
