JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Dreams Come True of Jacksonville and SET Performance came together to present the inaugural Olympic Day for some local children serviced through Dreams Come True of Jacksonville, who are battling life-threatening illnesses.
Ten children were out at the SET Performance facilities off Beach Blvd, enjoying a few hours this morning on a special made obstacle course, tailored just for them. Each dreamer was paired with a professional athlete who assisted and cheered them on during the event. The obstacle course included: basketball drills, soccer drills, football drills, hurdles and an obstacle course bounce house.
Each dreamer was welcomed into the facility with a dance performance by Miss Felicia's Dancers.
Following the obstacle course, each dreamer received a medal, certificate and goodie bags filled with special gifts (Duke basketball signed by Grayson Allen, Jacksonville Jaguar bag, football, and some coupons from local vendors).
Dreams Come True of Jacksonville is the only locally based dream granting organization that fulfills the dreams of local children battling life-threatening illnesses.
