JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- From the outside of EverBank Field, the world's largest video screens look huge and inside the stadium, the same screens make the stadium seem smaller.
That's the observation of Jacksonville Jaguars President Mark Lamping, who is overseeing the project that has the world's largest video screen going up in the north and south end zones. The north end zone will also have a swimming pool as part of the project.
"Once you get inside, it really changes the look of the stadium, makes it feel actually smaller," said Lamping, who also said recent rainy weather has interfered with the construction timeline.
Lamping said crews are working 16-hour days with the timeline now to be completed in mid July.
The improvements, he said, definitely will be done for the preseason games.
The city and the Jags teamed up on the $63 million dollar changes to EverBank Field.
