Stanton's Kendal Williams is looking to win the 200 meters at the FHSAA state track and field meet this weekend.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The high school State Track and Field Finals meet begins Friday at the University of North Florida.
Among the elite athletes who will be competing is the sprinter nicknamed the fastest on the First Coast, Kendal Williams. The Stanton senior ran a 10.28 at the Bob Hayes Invitational back in March.
Not only was that the fastest time in the state but also the nation in 2014.
Williams will enter FHSAA state track and field meet as the reigning three-time champion in the 200 meters and he's the favorite to take home the gold in the event again this weekend.
Williams is also hoping to do the same in the 100 meters.
