ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- Both the boys and girls soccer teams from Fleming Island High School recently finished as the state runners up.

On Thursday morning, 8 members of those teams signed letters of intent to continue their careers at the following colleges:

Abby Austin: Flagler College

Brooke DeLauder: Flagler College

Taylor Berry: Florida Gulf Coast University

Audrey Johnson: University of West Florida

Taylor North: University of West Georgia

Mikayla Olson: University of North Florida

Janese Quick: Longwood University

Michael Dooley: University of Tampa

In speaking at the signing ceremoney, Golden Eagles girls soccer coach Darrell Ivey said, "These girls have worked very hard the past four years with four district championships, four regional championships, and they've been to the Final Four four years in a row, so that's a tough thing to do. To get to the state final this year was awesome for them too."

"We have a great club program in the area that actually supplies us with our players," said Golden Eagles boys soccer coach Frank Pontore. "We put them together and it was just a phenomenal year this year."
