JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It's expected that former Paxon and Providence star Patric Young will get selected in the NBA Draft on Thursday night. If and when he does, he will become the first Jacksonville native chosen in the NBA Draft since 1997 when James Collins was picked by the Clippers in the second round.

After an 11-year professional career that included 2 seasons in the NBA and 9 seasons overseas, James is back at his alma mater, Andrew Jackson High School, where he is entering his 6th season as the Tigers head basketball coach.

Chad Cushnir recently caught up with this Jacksonville legend to discuss his memories of being selected in the NBA Draft and why it's been so long since someone from Jacksonville has been chosen in the NBA Draft.
