MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Bob and Kathy Franks have been married for 46 years and the couple says they knew it was love at first sight.
"It was a double date. She was with someone else and I was with someone else," Bob said when speaking about how they met.
They met during the '60s while they were students at the University of Florida. Since that time, they been long-time supporters of the Gators.
In fact, the Franks have been season ticket holders since 1971. Their seats are right on the front row, where they've seen it all.
"We've been through Norm Sloan, John Lots, Kreguer, John Fisher," Kathy said while laughing.
"We've had some good coaches that have brought the program along, but Billy came in with an idea; young and exciting guy and just kept going," Bob said.
Now the Franks want Billy Donovan and the team to keep it going to the Final Four in Dallas.
"We've not missed a final four when the Gators were there," Bob says.
You can be sure Kathy will bring what she calls her good luck charm.
"I've got a picture I want to share. This is my picture I carry to every basketball game," said Kathy. "That's Patric and Will and me."
