JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Sharks guaranteed a win against the New Orleans VooDoo on Monday night, but the visiting team got the last laugh as they leave Jacksonville with a 36-35 win.

The Sharks are now (6-10) this season, and they have officially been eliminated from playoff contention. This is the first time in the 5-year history of the franchise that they will not be in the postseason.

As for the guarantee, Sharks management had stated that any fan who purchased a ticket to the game against the VooDoo would receive a free ticket to the July 26th home game against the L.A. KISS if the Sharks did not defeat the VooDoo.

The Sharks travel to Cleveland this Saturday. The season finale will be on July 26th against the KISS.
