FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. -- Two people were injured in Flagler County early Sunday following a collision between a pedestrian and a man on a motorcycle, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a motorcycle driven by Brian Freeman of Ormond Beach was heading south on A1A before 1 a.m. when the motorcycle struck Shane Kitchens of Flagler Beach, who was crossing the road.

Kitchens, 37, was flown to Halifax Trauma Center in Daytona Beach, where he's being treated for critical injuries, according to FHP. Freeman, 30, suffered serious injuries in the accident, troopers said.
