FRUIT COVE, Fla. -- A St. John's County Sheriff's Office deputy was involved in a two car crash Monday afternoon.

The crash occurred on State Road 16 near County Road 210 and according to the SJSO. Deputies were responding to a suicide call of a man armed with a gun. The deputy involved had blue lights and sirens activated at the time of the crash.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, deputy Bray Taylor lost control when the vehicle drove into a large puddle of water. The front of the patrol car struck the left side of a grey Chevrolet Silverado towing a camper trailer driven by John Mack, 70. Mack and passenger Linda Mack suffered minor injuries. Taylor also suffered minor injuries.

Everyone involved in the crash was wearing a seat belt, according to FHP.

No charged were filed, according to FHP.
