JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A crash with injuries snarled traffic on Philips Highway Tuesday afternoon.
Florida Highway Patrol responded to a crash in the 8000 block of Phillips Hwy just before 1 p.m., according to the FHP website.
According to a witness, three people were injured in the crash and a few were trapped inside one of the cars.
An FHP report stated that 24-year-old Jamie Lane Inisin drove a 2008 Ford Focus through a red light near the intersection of Phillips Highway and Baymeadows Road. Inisin and her 94-year-old female passenger had serious injuries while a 51-year-old female passenger had minor injuries.
While reportedly running the red light, Inisin's vehicle hit a 1999 Ford Expedition driven by a 33-year-old male driver who was left with minor injuries. Inisin also reportedly hit a 2009 Nissan Murano, according to the report. The 35-year-old female driver and the two male 39-year-old passengers were not injured.
Inisin is facing a charge of failing to obey a traffic control signal, the FHP report detailed.
