JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --
Here's the link to K9s for Warriors website.
Operation Orion is raising funds to help K9s for Warriors operate their new facility to be built in Nocatee. The 17,000 square foot facility will quadruple their program and so they need money to run it.
Right now the non-profit has a year-long waiting list to get it. Veterans come from all over the country, many sent by their doctors.
K9s for Warriors give custom-trained service dogs to veterans diagnosed with PTSD or TBI (traumatic brain injury) and veterans who are victims of MST (military sexual trauma).
A donation of $100 will buy a hands-free leash and a special vest for certified service dogs.
Individual donations and corporate donations are welcome of any amount.
The Weaver Foundation will match donations.
