JACKSONVILLE, Fla – One of the most important events in a parent's life is to watch their son or daughter walk the stage in cap and gown to accept their college diploma.

Some parents will never have this moment because they sacrificed themselves for our country, but that's where the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation steps-in. The foundation provides college scholarships and long-term educational counseling to children of fallen patriots to ensure the success of those who lost a parent in the military.

The Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation (CFPF) is hosting an event called "Raise your Glass for the Fallen" at Latitude 30 Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event includes special pricing on food and drinks, raffles, and prize giveaways that have been generously donated by local businesses. Some of the proceeds purchased from food and non-alcoholic beverages from the "Raise Your Glass for the Fallen" event will go to CFPF's mission to provide college scholarships and educational counseling to military children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.

For more information about this event call 904-372-9467 or visit The Children of Fallen Patriots website. You can also find more information on Facebook at Raise Your Glass For The Fallen.

If you are a child who has lost a parent in the line of duty or if you have a child and have lost a spouse in the line of duty, contact CFPF at 866-917-2373 for information on enrolling in the program.
