COLUMBUS, OH -- Imagine asking for $10 in crowd-funding, then getting more than $70,000 in pledges within six days.

That's what's happening to Zack Brown from Ohio. His creative request for $10 to make a bowl of potato salad was posted on Kickstarter, then went viral.

Six days later, he has pledges for $71,000 with another 27 days of fundraising remaining.

The secret? Creativity. Throughout the course of the campaign, Brown adds new stretch goals, such as "better mayonnaise," a live stream of the potato salad's creation and a "potato salad party."

His creative funding project on Kickstarter ends August 2.
