ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. -- It is Friday so that means it is time for our Student of the Week!

This week is a young one, FCN is spotlighting 1st grader Hannah Cosgrove at Crookshank Elementary School in St. Johns County.

Hannah was nominated because she single handedly raised $1,080 for the American Heart Association's Jump Rope for Heart Fundraiser at the school!

School officials said that is a new record for a student and though Hannah approaches everything with excitement, they could not believe how much she brought in.

"The reason I raised a lot of money is because my mama went to her work and she brought this big bucket and then she went to every hall and then I made a $1,010 and then my family just kept paying more," said Hannah with a smile.

Hannah Cosgrove said her parents tell her it is important to help others. She said her favorite subject is math and she wants to be artist someday.

For her record setting fundraising, kindness and excitement for school, Hannah Cosgrove at Crookshank Elementary is our Student of the Week!
