MIAMI (AP) - A 28-year-old security guard is slowing recovering at a Miami hospital after she was trampled by ticketless gate-crashers at the Ultra Music Festival.
Dwight Mack told The Miami Herald his daughter is starting to talk, but can't remember what happened on Saturday night when the crowd trampled her. Ericka Mack suffered a skull fracture and a broken leg. Her family wants answers and has hired attorney Eric Isicoff.
Ultra organizers have blamed the crowd that crashed through the fences. A spokesman says they're reviewing all security procedures.
Miami Police Chief Manuel Orosa says officers warned festival officials to beef up the fencing in the area where Mack was injured. Some city leaders have called for ending the downtown festival.
They may discuss the issue during an April 10 meeting.
