TAMPA, Fla. -- Michelle Obama is coming to Florida to promote healthy eating in the Hispanic community and raise some money for her husband's re-election campaign.

The White House says the First Lady will be in Tampa Thursday morning as part of a national awareness program to encourage health and wellness. "Mi Plato" is a new US Department of Agriculture educational tool to assist Hispanic families in making healthy meal choices and proper portions.

Obama will join Bob Unanue, president of Goya Foods, the largest, Hispanic-owned food company in the United States.

After that she'll speak at Democratic National Committee receptions in Sarasota and Palm Beach.
