Endless design and improvement possibilities await at convention center
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- It's time to get out your to-do lists and get to work on all those home improvement projects you've been eyeing.
The 2014 Jacksonville Home and Patio Show returns to the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center this weekend.
It runs Thursday through Sunday evening, with tickets for adults ages 13 and up starting at $10.
Show manager Christian Moore told First Coast News the show has a particular focus on what's new and trending with outdoor spaces.
"No matter what you want to do at your house, we have something here. This is the best place to come and be able to share, compare, shop and save," he said.
Exhibits include patio designs, cooking demonstrations, do-it-yourself ideas and how to make old materials new again.
This year, Moore said the show is larger than ever with 30 more vendors participating than last year. He said it is a sign the home improvement industry is growing again.
"People who are in this business are starting to sell again and producing more jobs. So, they're looking to get out in the market and do different things to market their business," he said.
On Saturday and Sunday, Ahmed Hassan of the DIY Network's "Yard Crashers" will appear on the Fresh Ideas stage.
