MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Severe thunderstorms hammered the South Tuesday night disrupting FedEX's Memphis hub and flight operations.

The company issued a release warning customers of the potential delivery delays:

"The Memphis hub and flight operations experienced substantial disruptions last night due to severe thunderstorms and high winds. Potential delays are possible for shipment deliveries across the U.S. FedEx is committed to provide service to the best of our ability. Please continue to check for updates.
