Shooting of 13-year-old still under investigation Andrew Capasso, First Coast News
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Many who call the City Ridge Apartments on Arlington Expressway home say they're still trying to cope with the shooting of a 13-year-old.
Brenda Jordan lives next to the apartment where JSO says Trevon Kleint was shot.
"I said oh my God, and I saw they were working on the young man, tending to a wound on his neck," she said.
The shooting happened after 6:30 p.m. Sunday night.
"There was a blood trail coming from that apartment all the way up to my doormat," she said.
Jordan says many of the children in the complex are respectful and don't get into any trouble. That's part of the reason she says the shooting was unexpected.
"A little mind-wrenching, and also a complete shock," she said.
JSO hasn't named a suspect or motive.
Anyone who has any information about this shooting is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at 904-630-0500.
To remain anonymous and receive a possible reward up to $3,000 contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
