CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- The Clay County teen accused of lighting a protected tortoise on fire and then stomping it to death is now facing sex charges stemming from an encounter with a young boy.
According to an arrest report issued by the Clay County Sheriff's Office Wednesday, Jennifer Greene is charged with lewd and lascivious battery on an underage boy. The alleged incident on June 19. According to the report, Greene engaged in multiple sexual acts with the boy while she was 17-years-old. The victim's age is redacted in the report.
The victim told investigators the two were playing hide and seek when he initiated a sexual conversation that led to the sexual activity.
Greene is being charged as a juvenile for lewd and lascivious battery.
If convicted of the animal cruelty charge, Greene, 18, faces up to five years in prison, according to FWC. The misdemeanor charge calls for 60 days in jail and/or a $500 fine.
Greene is being held in Clay County Jail on $50,000 bond. She's due back in court next month.
