Connor Day and Matt Skiba took the turtle duo to a nice lake nearby and hope their video redeems Clay County in a positive way.

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- After seeing the horrifying video of two Clay County girls torturing and killing a tortoise, 26-year-old Connor Day decided he was going to do something positive to help. Then he spotted two turtles struggling to get past a curb.

"I know with the recent events that have happened around here, I was like we should go back and help those turtles. They look like they could use a hand," said Day.

So he recruited a Planet Mattress co-worker, Matt Skiba, to help him save the two turtles and they decided to make a YouTube video as well, even throwing in some theme music! Where the first video out of Clay County showed violence, Day's video showed kindness.

"This is how you are supposed to treat turtles," said Day in the video as his friend Matt carried the turtles to safety.

"I know there are a lot of good people here and I just wanted to get a good story out for our turtles especially," told Day.

He says he knows there are a lot of conservationists that deserve more credit than him, but sometimes even small acts of kindness can make a big difference.
