ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The St. Augustine Police Department and the City of St. Augustine Solid Waste Department are working together in an attempt to curb crime.

Twelve vinyl signs from Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida were donated to place on six of the city of St. Augustine's solid waste trucks.

St. Augustine Police Department Chief Loran Lueders said, "by placing these signs on our city trucks we encourage people to call Crime Stoppers about crime in the neighborhood."

If the tip results in an arrest of a suspect the caller may be entitled to a reward of up to $1,000.
