JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A bike-pedestrian path over the Fuller-Warren Bridge is being considered as part of the widening project, according to our news partner, The Florida Times Union.

The idea of a shared-use path has generated wide interest over the past few months.

Supporters said they'd love to have a path that would connect Riverside with San Marco and surrounding

areas.

The path would be at least 10-feet wide, separated from travel lanes by a reinforced barrier, according to the T-U.

City officials said the idea hasn't received a lot of push-back as compared to other enhancement ideas that have been thrown around.

The widening project is supposed to relieve traffic congestion between the I-95/I-10 interchange and bridge.
