JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 22-year-old man was sentenced to 40 years in prison after he was convicted on charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a juvenile delinquent found to have committed a felony act.
According to a news release from the State Attorney's Office, Kyle Jamar Walker went to his victim's apartment and demanded money. The victim claimed he did not have any money, however Walker continued to demand money and threaten him. Walker then shot the victim in the face before fleeing the scene.
The victim recovered from his injuries.
Walker was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
