JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Drivers in Arlington are still navigating through street flooding Friday morning - and it isn't due to rain. Thursday night two lanes were closed. Friday morning one lane is still closed.
Officials say a broken reclaimed water line caused the flooding. According to JEA spokesperson Gerri Boyce, the 20 inch pipe held heavily treated water that is used for irrigation, not for drinking.
Crews from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and JEA responded, working through the night to fix the problem. The cause of the crack is still under investigation.
