BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Alabama will be represented in the Miss America Pageant by none other than Caitlin Brunell, the daughter of former Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Mark Brunell.
Caitlin, 22, beat out nine other finalists for the crown of Miss Alabama Saturday night at Samford University, according to a report from the website al.com.
For her performance, Caitlin danced to the hit song "Let it Go" from Disney's "Frozen."
"The song I think just really resonated with me and kind of told my life story, so it was a lot of fun to dance to that song," Caitlin told the website.
Caitlin is championing Caitlin's Closet, a charity that aims to give prom dresses to girls in need. Her father Mark, no stranger to the spotlight, didn't shy away from celebrating his daughter's win on Twitter.
