JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A single-car accident on the interstate sent a Jacksonville Sheriff's officer, who was responding to a high priority call, to the hospital Saturday morning, police said.
The officer was heading south on I-295 north of Roosevelt Boulevard about 3 a.m. when the patrol car crashed, the Sheriff's Office said.
JSO said the officer was treated for minor injuries at a hospital.
No other cars or people were involved.
The officer's identity has not been released.
It's not yet clear how fast the vehicle was traveling or what may have triggered the crash.
