JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A crash involving a motorcycle sent two to the hospital Friday.
The crash occurred at 2:30 p.m. on Southside Boulevard between Beach Boulevard and Ivey Road and was described by Florida Highway Patrol as a "T-bone type crash."
A Honda Accord and motorcycle collided, ejecting 24-year-old Lance R. Griffith from his motorcycle. Griffith was wearing a helmet, but suffered life threatening injuries, according to FHP. Griffith was transported to UF Health Jacksonville for treatment.
A passenger inside the Honda, 24-year-old Kimberly Dawn Walls, suffered minor injuries and was also transported to UF Health Jacksonville. The driver of the Honda, Constance Therese Million, 55, suffered only minor injuries.
The crash investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
