JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- You know the Happy Grilled Cheese food truck when you see it. The truck is decorated like a cheesy, oozing sandwich that makes mouths water as it passes.
Now the Happy Grilled Cheese food truck is planning to become a brick and mortar establishment, serving up an array of grilled cheese concoctions from a kitchen that sits still.
Anthony Hashem of the Happy Grilled Cheese food truck said Wednesday the food truck is in negotiations to sign a lease. They have not officially signed, but plan to within the next week or so.
Hashem said they are looking in the Five Points area and once a lease is signed, they are aiming to open in late 2014.
First Coast News asked Hashem if it's goal to open up restaurant from a food truck. With excitement in his voice Hashem said, "oh yes, for sure!"
