JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- An unidentified man walked into the Old St. Augustine Fire Station Sunday asking for help after he was shot.

Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Lt. Larry Kitchen said the shooting happened at the Villas at Mandarin Bay after 8 p.m.

Police went to that location in search of witnesses and a crime scene.

While there, investigators spotted two to three men running from the scene. The suspects got into a gold vehicle.

Later, a vehicle matching the suspects' vehicle was found in a parking lot at Pritmore Road and Old St. Augustine Road.

The victim was taken to UF Health Jacksonville with non-life threatening injuries.
