JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Two men were injured during a drive-by shooting Sunday.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened one block away from Yancy Park on Soutel Drive around 3 p.m.
"It's scary, it's dangerous and this is sad that our kids are not safe, nor are we," said Marcia Richardson, who lives nearby. She was at the park after the incident, with some children she mentors.
JSO said a car drove down Wilton Avenue and fired "quite a few shots" into a car containing four men in their 20s.
One of the men was shot in the hand and the other was shot in the torso. Neither injury is life-threatening.
Police said the house was also hit while people were sitting on the porch. The four people sitting on the porch, and one person standing next to the vehicle that was fired into, were not hurt.
"When I turn on the news, it's almost a daily....it's almost like breathing to our young people," Richardson said.
FCN caught up with Julius Grant, 18, who also lives nearby. He was in the park playing basketball.
"No. Not used to it. It's surprising every time," he said.
JSO said 33 people were shot in April. Theodore Byers lives nearby and said Sunday's incident was "scary." He said something needs to change.
"I just hope it ends," He said. "I don't know the young fellas, but I don't want to see them young boys getting hurt."
The victims were transported to UF Health.
No suspects have been identified.
