JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of a 28-year-old man charged with the murder of a 29-year-old woman found in a ditch Friday.
Shaquita Anne Smith, 29, was found shortly before 6:30 p.m. Friday in a ditch in the 7500 block of Park City Drive, according to a police report from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. Smith's body was discovered by people walking on a nearby sidewalk.

Kenny Conyers, 28, was arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with murder. Smith's sister, Tamiko Renne Smith, 38, was also arrested early Tuesday morning and is facing charges of accessory after the fact.
When Smith's body was discovered, investigators believed she had been in the ditch for several days.
Both Conyers and Tamiko Smith are scheduled to appear in court at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
