JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The former vice president of the Jacksonville Fraternal Order of Police could agree to a plea deal as early as next week.
Larry Hannan with our news partner The Florida Times-Union was in court for Robbie Freitas' hearing today.
Freitas is expected to enter a plea Tuesday in connection to the Allied Veterans of the World gambling scandal that will keep him out of prison.
He was among more than 50 people arrested during Operation Reveal the Deal.
Of those, only seven haven't made deals, including former police union head Nelson Cuba.
A September trial date has been set for remaining defendants.
