The Jacksonville Area Legal Aid's Fair Housing Unit (JALA) continues to recognize Fair Housing Month during several events throughout the First Coast.
Attorneys from the Fair Housing Unit are promoting fair housing and educating people about the Federal Fair Housing Act.
The Civil Rights Bus Tour will be held Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The tour will show the evolution of civil rights in Jacksonville, with an emphasis on fair housing rights.
The event will highlight the past, present and future problems of fair housing in the minority areas of Jacksonville. The event is free, however, RSVP is required. firstname.lastname@example.org.
Partnering with the Jacksonville Human Rights Commission, JALA will hold a Fair Housing Festival in Hemming Plaza Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
