JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged with murder Thursday for the killing of a man in a Westside apartment one month earlier.
Andrew Parham, 15, and two men entered party at an Eureka Gardens apartment uninvited on March 16, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Parham along with Ernest Taylor, 26, and Timothy Stewart, 19, were all carrying guns when they entered the apartment located in the 1200 block of Labelle St.
A fight broke out between Parham and a resident of the apartment just after midnight and Parham began pistol-whipping the resident, according to JSO.
JSO Chief of Detectives Adam Brown said Parham then fired one shot that struck Christopher Cornelio in the head.
Cornelio was taken to the UF Health and later died.
One month after the shooting, Parham was arrested by the JSO SWAT team at a home on the Northside and charged with one count of murder and one count of burglary while committing battery.
Parham was a student at Grand Park Alternative School.
Taylor was arrested March 18 and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. Stewart was arrested March 27 and charged with possession of a weapon by a delinquent.
