ST. AUGUSTINE BEACH, Fla. -- A bike ride took place Monday evening to remember a young man who died in a hit and run crash three years ago this week.

About three dozens cyclists gathered in St. Augustine Beach to honor Bryan Wrigley who was killed while riding his bicycle on County Road 214 in 2011.

His case remains unsolved.

According to a VeloFest Director Heather Neville, seven hit and run crashes have occurred in St. Johns County in the last three years. Six of those seven were fatal. All were cyclists except for one pedestrian.

The 1.3 mile ride also remembered the other victims of hit and run crashes.

Police officers also conducted helmet fittings for those who participated.
