JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The One Spark crowdfunding festival began Wednesday and the Jacksonville Transportation Authority says it's prepared for the activities.

From April 9 through April 13, JTA will offer patrons complimentary Skyway services and parking.

"Throughout the One Spark 2013 festival, we accommodated 44,282 customers on our Skyway system, marking a 129 percent increase in our weekday ridership," said Lisa Darnall, VP of JTA Transit Operations. "This year, One Spark is estimating over 150,000 festival attendees; we invite those attending One Spark and downtown patrons to experience the Skyway and utilize this convenient mode of downtown transportation."

ONE SPARK SET TO OPEN ON TIME

The parking lots around JTA's Convention Center station located at 1071 W. Bay Street will be open for complimentary parking. Parking signage will direct One Spark attendees to the available lots.

In addition, JTA will offer complimentary access to the Skyway during the following times:

  • Wednesday April 9 from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m.
  • Thursday April 10 from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m.
  • Friday April 11 from 6 a.m. to 3 a.m.
  • Saturday April 12 from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m.
  • Sunday April 13 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
