JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A teenager is injured after being shot inside a car Friday evening.
According to Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Sgt. T.E. Mitchell the incident happened around 6 p.m. at the intersection of Soutel Drive and Moncrief Road.
There were four friends, who are between the ages of 15 and 18, in the Toyota Camry when the shooting occurred. The shooter and victim, who is around 15 and 16 years old, were in the backseat of the car when the shot was fired, says Mitchell
The 18-year-old shooting suspect got scared and ran, says Mitchell. The victim was shot in the leg and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. JSO is searching for the shooter.
